Major Newport employer begins redundancy talks with up to 85 jobs at risk

Staff at the site say they have been told the business is in the red, with the cost of living crisis and lower demand cited by managers as key reasons for the changes.
Employees have attended two all-staff meetings led by senior site and divisional management, outlining that consultation is now under way.

Staff at Rogerstone say they hope the process will explore options to minimise compulsory job losses, including redeployment to other roles on site or elsewhere within the wider 2 Sisters group.
