(Image: NQ)Area Coroner for Gwent, Rose Farmer, confirmed that an inquest was being opened as it is a violent death. Gwent Police are continuing to investigate it and 66-year-old Albert Williams, of Ruperra Street, has been charged with her murder. A provisional trial date has been set for January 4 2027, and Williams is expected back in court on August 20 for a trial preparation/pre-trial hearing.
