Jacob Lewis, 31, had denied driving at 29mph in the 20mph zone on Allt-Yr-Yn Avenue in Newport in a Vauxhall Zafira on March 29. But, at Newport Magistrates' Court, he was found guilty of the offence in his absence after his no show. Lewis, of Ringwood Hill, Newport must pay £650 prosecution costs, a £220 fine and an £88 surcharge. The defendant’s driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.
