Those are the words of Alan Vaughan, marking another birthday without his son, Kyle Vaughan, who has now been missing for almost 14 years. Instead, it is a painful reminder of the questions that have remained since Kyle vanished on December 30, 2012. Kyle, who was 24 at the time, had attended a party in Abercarn before driving to meet friends at a pub in Risca. "We remain in regular contact with Kyle’s family who have never given up hope of finding out what happened to him and that hope continues to drive our enquiries. Eight people were arrested after the missing person enquiry turned into a murder investigation, but all have since been released without charge.
