COVENTRY City Council’s Sports Fest is set to return to Broadgate this summer with five days of free activities themed around sport and movement. The event will start on Tuesday (August 11) and run until Saturday August 15, with activities taking place from 11am-4pm each day. Coun Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport at Coventry City Council, said: “Sports Fest is coming back this summer where it will continue to offer residents five days of free activities during the school holidays. Sports Fest is delivered by Coventry City Council in partnership with local sports clubs, community groups, health services and national governing bodies of sport, showcasing physical activity and wellbeing opportunities. It is part of this year’s Big Summer Takeover programme which will see a series of free events taking place in the city centre in August.
