The Chapel World Bog Snorkelling Championships will return to Llanwrtyd Wells this August, with Allica Bank stepping in as sponsor for the first time as part of its Here is Where the Heart Is campaign. The quirky event, now in its 40th year, sees competitors from around the globe racing through a 60-yard peat bog in just flippers and a snorkel. The championships also provide a significant economic boost to Llanwrtyd Wells, drawing visitors from near and far and supporting the town’s businesses. Other quirky events supported by the bank include the World Conker Championships and the Great Knaresborough Bed Race. The event is made possible through the dedication of volunteers and the long-standing support of the Llanwrtyd Wells community.
