Stephen Gough, 51, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 28, where he denied a charge of assaulting Deborah Jenkins in Dolfor, near Newtown, on May 15. He admitted another charge of criminal damage, on the same date and same location. Gough, of Tytyllog, Dolfor, was told his trial, due to last around 4 hours, will take place at Welshpool on October 26. He is on conditional bail, not to contact or approach the alleged victim, and that will remain in place until the trial date.
