BCP Council's SEND deficit is forecast to hit £380 million by March 2028, leaving it with an annual interest bill of £10.5 million. BCP Council chief executive Aidan Dunn told the Echo SEND had "dominated the council for a number of years". Mr Dunn said this had left the council with "really significant financial debt". Mr Dunn said he was proud of BCP's SEND support, but its cost left little money for other priorities.
