Max Stanford, a competitive eater from London, is currently ranked the UK’s number one competitive eater and sits at number eight in the world rankings according to Major League Eating. On Thursday July 30, Bournemouth restaurant Funki Griller hosted its new and improved challenge for Max; its 100oz Beast Challenge. Max became the first person to attempt the 100oz Beast Challenge and completed it in just 25 minutes and four seconds, setting the inaugural record. Max holds an array of competitive eating achievements including four-time British Eating League Champion (2021/22, 2023, 2024 and 2025). Funki Griller is now inviting customers to take on the 100oz Beast Challenge and test their own limits.
