BCP Council says officers seized 123,370 illegal vapes, 976,940 illegal cigarettes and 286kg of illegal hand-rolling tobacco last financial year. The council says officers are targeting law-breaking businesses, seizing products and taking further action over offences. BCP Council chief executive Aidan Dunn said the authority works closely with Dorset Police to fight crime across the towns. "So we've set up a joint operating room where police are sat alongside council officers, sat alongside the RNLI." Mr Dunn said the arrangement lets authorities predict busy periods and plan for them.
