Bournemouth town centre should be one of the South Coast’s greatest success stories. In my view, it’s time we brought our town centre into the 21st century. As residents, we all pay the price through lost opportunities and a less vibrant town centre. That could mean reviewing existing policies, removing unnecessary barriers to redevelopment and supporting investment that creates jobs, attracts visitors and strengthens our local economy. By working together with businesses, landlords and the wider community, we can create a modern, thriving town centre that benefits residents, attracts investment and gives visitors even more reasons to choose Bournemouth.
