Thankfully, we had nothing to fear as we pitched the family tent amidst the hills of the Lulworth Estate. But much like the rest of the Dorset countryside the site was scorched and dusty by this year’s summer heatwaves. Organisers Rob and Josie Da Bank have spent decades building the perfect family festival experience and so there were plenty of shaded areas and free water points. Middle-aged adults and teenagers raving together in sweet harmony is one of the absolute joys of Camp Bestival. This year’s festival fancy dress theme was ‘at the seaside,’ which worked perfectly given the weather.
