Ms Deuxberry said that when Lewis was arrested deer blood was found in the boot of his car, with mixed animal blood in the vehicle. Other incidents included a lamb hanging from a flagpole outside a church and a dead lamb hanging from a road sign in Bramshaw. Another incident occurred on April 23 when a dead lamb was found on a tree stump outside a church in Ashurst. During another, a dead lamb was left outside a church under a statue of Mary. Judge William Mousley KC said: "You displayed parts of dead animals in religious settings and at accommodation for vulnerable adults.
