In comparison, the valley recorded 15,924 tourists through the whole of last season, including 416 foreign visitors. Although foreign footfall has dipped this year, a surge in domestic tourists has driven the overall numbers to a new high. With the valley set to remain open to tourists for roughly three more months, officials expect both footfall and revenue to climb further. Kandpal noted that the valley is currently at peak bloom, with the widest range of colourful flower species visible this season.
