play_arrow Meet one Hotel Boulderado worker protesting for fair wages & labor practices KGNU NewsWorkers and supporters gathered Wednesday evening outside Boulder’s historic Hotel Boulderado, calling for fair labor practices and the right to organize without intimidation. The protest comes after AJ Capital Partners purchased a majority stake in the 116-year-old four-star hotel for $102 million in March of 2025. “I want to continue working in Boulderado, and that’s what I’m fighting to make things right and to be respectful,” Guadalupe said. For those gathered outside the Hotel Boulderado, the hope is that continued public support will help move both sides toward a productive dialogue. The Sundance Film Festival, which comes to Boulder in January, has announced that the hotel will serve as its headquarters.
