Two suspects are in custody following an armed carjacking in Gaithersburg. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the victim was offered $70 to give them a ride to Silver Spring. The driver was then hit in the head with a handgun while the other suspect held a rifle in his face. The Montgomery County Police and Gaithersburg Police responded to the scene and attempted to stop the vehicle. After a short pursuit, the two suspects were taken into custody but not before they crashed the car.
