11-year-old Summer Lim was biking across the street when a school bus struck her at an intersection in Rockville. Wood School near Bauer Drive and Russett Road on October 9, 2025, when she was struck by a school bus. After an initial stop, the bus moved by nearly 30 feet, striking Lim. In the same judgment, MCPD found Lim also at fault for entering the intersection where the bus was already present. On July 30, Rivas accepted a three-point citation on his license and paid a $390 fee to avoid going to trial.
