Driver charged over serious Bundaberg crash

A man’s been airlifted to Brisbane in a critical condition, following a serious crash in Bundaberg.
Police say a red Mazda 3 sedan collided with a white Toyota Hilux at the intersection of Woondooma Street and Branyan Street, around 4.49pm on Friday, July 31.
The driver of the ute, a 64-year-old Avondale man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Article continues after this ad AdvertisementThe other driver allegedly fled, but police arrested a 36-year-old Bundaberg West man a short time later.
Investigators are calling for any witnesses, particularly anyone with relevant vision of the Mazda prior to the crash, to contact police.
