Edwards Lifesciences Corp. reported better than expected second quarter results, driven by continued growth of its largest segment.
Shares in Edwards climbed 5% in after-hours trading to $88 apiece following the July 23 earnings announcement.
TAVR Q2 Sales Grow 11.3% to $1.26BAt the center of Edwards’ strong quarter was its transcatheter aortic valve (TAVR) business, which grew 11% in sales to $1.26 billion.
In addition to its full-year outlook, Edwards increased sales growth guidance for TAVR to 8%-9% from 7%-9%.
