“They thought that it was going to be, you know, like a calf, something smaller, something that actually fit inside the vehicle,” Reiman noted.
To accommodate the massive passenger, the driver had completely removed half of the windshield and the passenger side of the roof.
“As a result, the officer performed a traffic stop and addressed some traffic violations that were occurring with that particular situation,” Reiman explained.
According to external reports from the Associated Press and local Nebraska outlets, Howdy Doody has been Meyer’s “friend and buddy” for nearly a decade.
“The officer wrote him some warnings, um, there were some citable issues with that situation,” Reiman said of the traffic stop.
