Alex from Hangar 14 RC finally got his hands on the FMS 70mm F/A-18F Super Hornet – and the first flight was, charitably, eventful.
Instead, he commissioned a custom set from Callie Graphics to recreate the Trigger “Three Strikes” scheme from Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, complete with Osean markings and the Three Strikes emblem.
“I thought that it was a great opportunity to take inspiration from one of my favorite video game series of all time, Ace Combat, and do an Ace Combat 7 livery,” he explained.
Using a 4000mAh 6S battery shifted the aircraft‘s balance point significantly toward the nose, leaving the jet front-heavy even before Alex attempted takeoff.
I absolutely love how the livery turned out for the Ace Combat fan in me and for you out there.”
