A NEW nature reserve, created through a community volunteering project, has opened at Abbeywood First School in Redditch. The nature reserve will form a core part of the school’s outdoor learning activities, offering pupils an interactive area to study local wildlife and habitats throughout the academic year. Redditch MP Chris Bloore opened the nature reserve, alongside head of school Zoe Gilmour and representatives from David Wilson Homes, including Development Director Andrew Dauncey, head of technical Edward Bate and technical secretary Jenny Chandler. “I’d like to thank everyone at Abbeywood First School and David Wilson Homes whose hard work has made this project possible.” The nature reserve will form a core part of the school’s outdoor learning activities, offering pupils an interactive area to study local wildlife and habitats throughout the academic year.
