One California woman says she believed the same until calling off her wedding made her rethink everything she had felt during her engagement.
TikTok creator Emma Saylor (@emmasaylorr) says she now views several moments from her engagement differently, including the proposal, wedding planning, and conversations about her future.
The creator says her experience with wedding planning felt different from what she saw other brides describing online.
Before ending the video, the creator stressed that her experience should not be treated as a guide for other relationships.
“None of these things mean that you need to call off your wedding or end your relationship,” she says.
