A company spokesman said recall notices are being mailed to Ram 1500 owners this month. "In certain collision scenarios, this condition could affect the performance of the second-row seat belt system and increase the risk of injury to occupants," the company said. The recall targets 1,271,294 US-market Ram 1500 trucks, but every vehicle called back may not need the fix, which will be performed for free at Ram dealerships. Stellantis is also recalling 156,138 Ram 1500 trucks in Canada, 15,088 in Mexico, and 74,084 outside North America. Once contacted, Ram 1500 owners can call their dealer to schedule an inspection appointment.
