SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed two candidates as Assistant Directors (Economics and Statistics) in the JK Economics and Statistics (Gazetted) Service under the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department. 80-JK(PD and MD) of 2026, the appointments have been made on a temporary basis in Pay Level-8 (Rs 47,600–1,51,100) following recommendations of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission. The order states that the appointments have been made with immediate effect. The government has directed both appointees to report to the Director General, Economics and Statistics, JK, within 21 days of the issuance of the order. The Director General, Economics and Statistics, has been directed to ensure verification of all certificates submitted by the appointees.
