STOCKHOLDERS of Payments Network of the Philippines, Inc. (PNPI) have elected their 15-member board of directors for the 2026-2027 term, with BDO Unibank, Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nestor V. Tan appointed as chairman. At a meeting held last Thursday, Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) President Fabian S. Dee was also elected president and Rizal Commercial Banking Corp.’s (RCBC) Reginaldo Anthony B. Cariaso as treasurer for the coming term. Other members of the board are Philippine National Bank Senior Vice-President Reynaldo C. Burgos, Mr. Cariaso, representing RCBC; Land Bank of the Philippines Vice-President Grace Ofelia Lovely V. Dayo; Development Bank of the Philippines President and CEO Michael O. Other electronic payment services such as ATM, point of sale, check clearing, and direct debit, as well as other electronic payment facilities have also been integrated under one payment network. The name BancNet will be the brand name for PNPI’s automated teller machine network, while PCHC will refer to its check clearing operations.
