Shawn David Lawson, 59, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601Shawn was born on March 14, 1967, in Artesia, New Mexico, to Jimmy Lawson and Donnis (Krow) Lawson. He is survived by his mother, Donnis Lawson-Thomas and her spouse, Lewis; his children, Sarah Lawson, Hannah Lawson, J.D. Lawson, Laiken Lawson, Colt Tucker, and Montana Honeysuckle; and his brother, Cody Nelsen, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy David Lawson, who passed away in October 2007, as well as his grandparents, an aunt, and an uncle.
