Bybit says Loo joins from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, where it states he was General Counsel & Head of Sector Development. Bybit also lists prior roles at Barclays Capital, MF Global and Amber Group, where it says he was EMEA Head of Legal & Compliance. Bybit has named Peter Loo as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, handing him responsibility for the exchange’s global legal, regulatory and compliance strategy. VARA’s publicly identified General Counsel, quoted in that capacity as recently as April 2026, is Ruben Bombardi, whose title is given as General Counsel and Head of Regulatory Enablement.
