Salida officials are proposing stricter short-term rental regulations, including stronger residency verification requirements and a minimum annual rental requirement, under an ordinance the City Council will consider Tuesday.
The ordinance is one of several items on the agenda for the Salida City Council’s regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at 448 E. First St., Room 105.
Council members will also consider a financial monitoring policy and a contract to replace the aging pool liner at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center.
Ordinance 2026-22 Would Tighten STR Licensing RequirementsThe ordinance, scheduled for first reading on Tuesday, August 4, follows a city review of existing short-term rental licenses.
City officials are working with the city’s short-term rental software provider to determine how many licensed rentals are inactive and the average occupancy rate for licensed properties.
