CME October hogs ended up 1.50 cents at 84.850 cents per pound.
CME August feeder cattle futures settled up 1.550 cents at 348.025 cents per pound, and CME August live cattle ended 0.525 cents up at 231.750 cents per pound.
Boxed beef prices turned higher, with choice cuts gaining $0.88 to $361.38 per cwt, USDA reported Friday afternoon.
