ECOWAS Donates US$250,000 To Support Ghana Flood Victims

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has approved a donation of US$250,000 (approximately GH¢3 million) to support victims of the recent devastating floods in Ghana, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.
According to the Ministry, the funds will be transferred to Ghana in due course, after which the entire amount will be handed over to support those affected by the floods.
The Government of Ghana expressed profound gratitude to ECOWAS for the gesture, describing it as an act of genuine African solidarity and compassion.
“The Government of Ghana conveys boundless appreciation to ECOWAS for their solidarity and true African compassion,” the Ministry stated.
It also underscores ECOWAS’ commitment to supporting member states in responding to emergencies and natural disasters.
