If the curricula in question are as empowering and truth-seeking as she claims, sunlight should strengthen them, not threaten them.
The intensity of the objection suggests the opposite: that some of what is being taught may not hold up under ordinary public inspection.
Public universities are not private seminaries.
If there is nothing to hide, there is no reason to treat basic reporting of course content as an existential threat.
The real problem is not the state’s request for information; it is the insistence that the information must remain shielded from the people who fund it.
