Cheyenne Police Say Crime Down For First Half Of 2026

The Cheyenne Police Department recently released a report showing overall crime dropping over the first half of 2026 when compared to the same time last year.
According to a CPD news release, overall crime was down 12 percent for the period between Jan. 1, 2026 and June 30, 2026 in a year-over-year comparison to the same time last year.
In 2025, the CPD reported a 15% decrease in overall crime during the same timeframe.
The offenses are categorized by Crimes Against Property, Crimes Against Persons, and Crimes Against Society.
