The Ward Fire, about nine miles southwest of Ely, is currently at 5,717 acres and 0 percent contained, according to Clark County Deputy Fire Chief Brian O’Neal. Henderson Fire Department, North Las Vegas Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue and Clark County Fire Department provided engines and staff.
