ISLAMABAD, Aug 03 (APP):Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah Monday said Pakistan and Turkiye enjoyed an enduring friendship based on brotherhood, mutual respect and shared affection, and that cultural festivals played an important role in bringing the people of the two countries closer.
The minister made these remarks while speaking to the media during his visit to the Third Turkish Heritage Festival, organised by the Zakat Foundation of America in Chicago.
Earlier, Imran Shah visited various cultural and informational stalls at the festival and appreciated the organisers for successfully holding the event.
He praised the arrangements and said the festival reflected the rich cultural heritage of Turkiye while promoting understanding among diverse communities.
Imran Shah said such cultural festivals not only celebrated heritage but also strengthened people-to-people contacts and reinforced the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Turkiye.
