Detectives in Midlothian are appealing for information following a robbery at a shop in Gorebridge. Around 8.35pm on Sunday, 2 August, 2026, a man entered a store on Main Street, threatened staff with a knife and took a three-figure sum from the till. He was wearing a black face covering, black clothing, gloves and white trainers. Detective Constable Shaun Devenney said: “This was a frightening incident for the staff, and it is vital we trace the man responsible. “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or someone matching the description above to contact us.
