139 ViewsLeshan, China – Production has begun at the new hydrogen peroxide megaplant operated by Fuhua and licensed by Evonik in Leshan, Sichuan Province, China. With an annual capacity of 200 kilotons, the facility is one of the largest in the region for industrial-grade hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂). The project was completed only 2.5 years after Fuhua and Evonik signed the licensing agreement in November 2023. The new facility will supply industrial-grade hydrogen peroxide to customers in the merchant market while also supporting the recently established Evonik Fuhua New Materials joint venture. There, hydrogen peroxide from the Leshan plant will be further purified into specialty grades used in demanding applications such as electronics manufacturing and food safety.
