Dr. Talom officially assumed office on August 1, 2026, after taking the Oath of Allegiance administered by the University’s Chancellor, Acharya Dhanwant Singh, during a formal ceremony. A distinguished academic administrator, Dr. Talom previously served as the Director of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The university expressed confidence that Dr. Talom’s leadership will further elevate Apex Professional University’s reputation for delivering quality professional education, fostering world-class research, and producing skilled graduates equipped for global opportunities. Established under the Apex Professional University Act, 2013 (Act No. 07 of 2013) by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Apex Professional University is a UGC-recognized State Private University empowered to award degrees under the UGC Act, 1956.
