Firefighters were battling a brush fire that broke out in Jurupa Valley on Sunday, officials said. The approximately 10-acre blaze was reported near Mann and Holmes avenues just after 7:30 p.m. and had a moderate rate of spread, according to Cal Fire. While crews had difficulty accessing the fire due to the heavy fuels and terrain, the agency said good progress was made by 9:30 p.m. WATCH HERE WATCH HEREFirefighters were expected to work throughout the night to put out hot spots and strengthen containment lines.
