The Pike County Quorum Court met last week for their regular monthly meeting following a meeting of the Pike County Handbook Committee. During the committee meeting, county officials and employees from the Road and Landfill departments discussed concerns over the required use of earned compensatory time on scheduled holidays. Pike County Clerk Randee Edwards said an ordinance reflecting the change will be presented at the August Quorum Court meeting. During the regular meeting, justices unanimously approved an appropriation ordinance. The court also approved Resolution 2026-3, increasing the credit limit on the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Visa credit card from $3,000 to $10,000 after Justice Paul Baker amended the original proposal.
