Hyderabad: Residents in several parts of Hyderabad, including Miyapur, Lingampally, Chandanagar and Hafeezpet, have been advised to store water in advance. Drinking water supply will be disrupted for six hours on August 5 due to maintenance works at the Manjira project, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) said. Cause for water disruptionThe Water Board said the disruption is necessary to facilitate the installation and maintenance of a 33 kV Outdoor Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) at the Kalabgur Substation, which is part of the Manjira drinking water supply system. Areas to be affectedThe Water Board said water supply will either be partially disrupted or completely interrupted in the following areas during the six-hour maintenance window:1. The Board said normal water supply will be restored immediately after the maintenance works are completed.
