Businesses in Enniskillen’s Cornagrade area are calling on customers to continue supporting them as a six-week roadworks scheme gets underway. Road resurfacing began on Friday, July 31, with NI Water’s upgrade works starting today. Veronika from X Press Laundrette said poor communication and road closure signs have caused confusion and affected trade. She added that the business has been forced to reduce staff hours after losing customers, particularly from Airbnbs, hotels and holiday accommodation. We need all the support we can get because the road signs are making people avoid the area,” she said.
