Brno pulsed to the rhythm of Brazilian samba during the seventh annual Brasil Fest, held over the past few days. Hundreds of dancers, drummers, capoeira performers and other artists filled the city centre with colour and energy as they paraded through the streets, cheered on by large crowds of spectators. The parade's dance section was led by Carolina Macharethe, one of the stars of the samba school that won this year's Rio de Janeiro Carnival. The drumming section was headed by Brazilian drummer and percussionist Laísa Lima.
