Rivers Government Commends Primary Healthcare Task Force

The Rivers State Government in southern Nigeria has commended members of the State Task Force on Primary Health Care for their commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery across the state.
The state’s Deputy Governor and Chairperson of the State Task Force on Primary Health Care, Professor Ngozi Odu, gave the commendation during the Task Force’s second-quarter 2026 review meeting at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Professor Ngozi Odu said, “members of the Task Force have consistently challenged themselves to surpass previous performances, a development that continued to produce positive results in the State’s primary Health Care System.”
“Adopting a more focused approach would enable the Task Force to devote greater attention to implementing practical solutions capable of improving health care delivery across the State”.
The Deputy Governor also commended the Executive Secretary of the Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board, Dr Chituru Adele, for providing effective leadership and ensuring seamless coordination of the Board’s administrative and field operations.
