Dorset Police said it was reported at 11.25pm on Saturday, August 1, that a man aged in his 30s had been assaulted in the area of Christchurch Road in Boscombe. "We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, and an air ambulance to the scene. "We conveyed one patient by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.” Following fast-time enquiries by officers, a 21-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released on police bail. Dorset Police has now confirmed that a second suspect, also aged 21 and from Basingstoke, has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
