Wonder Man showrunner Andrew Guest sounded off on Marvel's decision to cancel Season 2, confirming that "contracts were signed" and "schedules were cleared" before its abrupt demise. Marvel announced Wonder Man would return for Season 2 in March and then revealed it had U-turned on that decision last week, July 30. Guest added that the first episode of Wonder Man Season 2 had been completed and an outline for the remainder of the season had been drafted before Marvel canceled it. "We are all pretty gutted by the news mostly because Wonder Man is a beautiful show, full of beautiful performances and led by beautiful writing," Moayed said. Guest signed off, saying he hopes Emmy voters are keeping Abdul-Mateen in mind come awards season.
