Multiple police vehicles were seen at around 11pm on Sunday, August 2 at the A40 junction with the Oxford Thornhill Park & Ride and Merewood Avenue. Following the incident, Thames Valley Police confirmed that they had arrested six men, all from Leeds, aged between 31 and 49. As of Monday morning (August 3), all the suspects remain in custody. A spokesperson for the force said: "Six men, aged between 31 and 49, all from the Leeds area, were arrested on suspicion of attempted theft from a motor vehicle and currently remain in police custody."
