On Saturday, August 1, bowlers and supporters came together at Victoria Bowling Club for a memorial event in tribute to Robert Glover, who died one year ago. Victoria Bowling Club and Wellington Park Bowling Club joined forces to organise the day, which featured the first-ever contest for the Robert Glover Memorial Shield. More than 60 players, friends, and family members spent the day bowling, sharing memories, and celebrating Robert’s life. "Robert was clearly loved by many in the community, and his memory will live on in the people he touched. The event began at 3pm, with live entertainment running from 6pm into the evening.
