The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is promoting the opportunity in partnership with The B-Hive through the Programme for Scotland's Childminding Future (PSCF). The PSCF support package offers a minimum £750 start-up grant, free training and induction, one-to-one support from an SCMA workforce officer, and a year of free membership. The scheme, designed to support new childminders in getting established, also promotes the benefit of flexible working hours.
