More than 200 take part in community 5k with 19 volunteers

Greenock parkrun welcomed 201 runners and walkers on August 1 for its 566th event, supported by 19 volunteers who helped make the event possible.
There were 117 male participants, 80 female, and four listed as unknown, with 23 personal bests recorded and 46 people taking part in the Greenock event for the first time.
Derek Shand, one of the most experienced runners on the day, has now completed 628 parkruns.
Several milestones were celebrated, including Nicola Carroll completing her 25th parkrun, Greg Luke reaching 100, and Malcolm Maclean finishing his 350th.
Patrick Smith holds the highest number of volunteer credits at Greenock with 534, followed by Tracey Howe with 462 and Marjorie Morrison with 330.
